Biography

Having studied piano with Panos Messis and Olga Efimova at Musical Horizons Music School in Limassol she is now continuing her studies in RNCM with Sally - Anne MacLeod. Additionally Nastasia has taken part in numerous master classes conducted by world famous musicians such as: Stefano Fiuzzi, Fali Pavri, Richard Egarr, Betty Gaitanou and Yuri Kot.

 

She has taken part in numerous competitions and received several awards, including the “Technique Award” at the 5th Cyprus Steinway Competition. At the age of eleven she passed Grade 8 piano, and at the age of sixteen the LTCL Recital Diploma.  This allowed her to start her teaching career from a very young age.

 

Furthermore she gained valuable experience from participating in school productions and music concerts in her hometown, Limassol. There she has performed in various venues such as Solon Michaelides Music Hall, Kasteliotissa Concert Hall, Orpeus Music Hall etc.

Nastasia has performed with a number of soloists and has given many chamber music recitals as well as solo performances. Currently she is playing in a piano trio called “The Arc Trio” and at the same time is an active accompanist, cooperating with various instrumentalists.

The Cypriot pianist Nastasia Loucaidou is currently a second year BMus undergrad student in one of the world’s leading conservatoire, Royal Northern College of Music. She is based in Manchester but she is travelling regularly to Cyprus for concerts and master classes.   

Nastasia being born in a musical family started learning the piano at the age of five. Having a musician mother made her realise in a very young age that she wanted to become a professional pianist.  Additionally Nastasia started learning the cello at the age of seven and from the age of thirteen she was the principle cello in the “Limassol Youth String Orchestra”, until the day she left the island.
